What to include in your first message
You do not need a specification. These four things let us give you a useful answer immediately instead of asking a round of questions first:
- The problem. What is slow, broken, manual or missing today.
- Who it affects. Your customers, your staff, or both.
- What exists now. Current systems, even if the answer is spreadsheets and email.
- Roughly what success looks like. Even if it is just “this should take minutes, not days”.
What happens next
- We reply with questions or an opinion. Usually the same day.
- A short call if it looks like a fit. No charge, no obligation.
- A written scope and price. So you can compare it properly with anyone else you are speaking to.
If we are not the right fit, we will tell you. Sometimes the honest answer is that an off-the-shelf tool will do the job for a fraction of a custom build. We would rather say that than take the work.
