The problem
As teams grow, the same process ends up done five different ways, and the data about it ends up in five different places. Nobody is wrong, exactly. There is just no single version of the truth, so every decision starts with an argument about which spreadsheet is current.
What we built
OneParacon is an internal portal that makes the standard process the easy process. Because it is an internal tool, almost all of it sits behind sign-in, so we describe it here at the level that is public:
- A single sign-in for the whole team, with access based on role
- Standardised workflows, so a process runs the same way whoever runs it
- One source of truth for the records those workflows produce
- Installable as an app on desktop and mobile
Why internal tools deserve real engineering
Internal software is used more hours a day than almost anything customer-facing, yet it usually gets the least care. When it is slow or confusing, people route around it and the source of truth quietly stops being true. We build internal tools to the same standard as products, because that is how they stay in use.
